Powering On

If the Crestron panel is black, tap the screen to illuminate it.

Then, tap the "System On" button to turn the system on.  This will turn on the projector and the Apple TV

The Crestron panel will take about 30 seconds to come on completely.

Once the Crestron panel is on, you will be able to present.

Presenting

Airplay

When the Crestron panel is turned on, it will automatically default to AirPlay as the default input method.

To use AirPlay, 1) click on the 2-slider icon in the top-right corner of your screen. 2) Click on "Screen Mirroring"

Then, scroll through the list until you see your room number and click on it.

On your laptop screen, you will see a box pop up asking for the AirPlay code.

The code will be displayed on the projector screen.

As soon as you enter the code, your laptop screen will be projected.

To stop using AirPlay, 1) click on the 2-slider icon in the top right corner of your screen. 2) Click on "Screen Mirroring".

Then, click on the blue dot next to the room you are in.  You will then be disconnected from AirPlay.

*Note: This is also a good place to note two options. When you are using AirPlay, you will be mirroring your screen. The option “Mirror Built-in ... Display” should be the option checked.

If “Use As Separate Display” is checked, all that will be projected is your desktop background because the system treats the projection as a second monitor for your laptop. If you ever connect to AirPlay and only see your desktop background, check to ensure you are mirroring your display and not using it as a separate display.

HDMI

If you need to connect through the HDMI input, connect your laptop to the HDMI cable. Then, tap on the HDMI button on the Crestron Panel.

*If you are showing a video through a streaming platform such as Netflix, you will need to connect through the HDMI cable. Most streaming services will not allow their content to be played through AirPlay.

Presenter Controls

If you would like to mute the image from the projector (turn off the image from the projector), tap the “Video Mute On” button in the Projector Controls section on the right side of the panel.

To turn off the video mute, tap the “Video Mute Off” button in the Projector Controls section on the right side of the panel.

Powering Off

When you are finished with the system or are the last class of the day, please turn the system off. To turn the system off, tap the “System Off” button.
